President of AvtoVAZ Bo Andersson reported several days ago that AvtoVAZ would begin serial production of Lada Priora’s successor in the next two years. But if earlier the future model appeared under the code name “Priora-2”, they have officially announced today that it would be named Lada Vesta.

The serial production of the Lada Vesta sedan is due to start in late 2015. According to Bo Andersson, the enterprise is being prepared for it now. Meanwhile, the prototypes of the car were observed during the tests in Tolyatti in autumn 2013. Lada Vesta will become the first commercial car made in the new brand style. The alteration of the sedan will most likely resemble the 2012 Lada XRAY Concept. It was designed by Steve Mattin, former design director of Volvo Cars.
