AvtoVAZ is working on the “urban” modification of the Lada 4x4 (Lada Niva) that will be called “Lada 4x4 Urban”. There is no detailed information about it yet, but its first pictures have already been placed in the Internet. The car will differ from the usual sport utility vehicle - it will have a new bumper and a radiator grill of a different form.
The running gear won’t be changed (1,7-liter or 83 horsepower engine, all-wheel drive), but an air conditioner is to be included into the list of options. The new version of the Niva is to hit the stores in October 2014, but its official debut is scheduled for late August. It will take place at the Moscow International Automobile Salon.
