Ulyanovsk-based UAZ car factory started production of renewed UAZ Patriot cars on August 6. The most notable change in the car is that the Russian gearbox was changed for a new Korean transfer case. Since it's got electronic control, now the driver can manage it not only using the lever, but also a special purpose disk on the central console. And though the vehicle was renewed, the prices didn't go up. The no-fringe gas Patriot car in Welcome modification is priced at 499 thousand rubles (~$15,000), whilst all other modifications became 5 to 10 thousand rubles ($150 to $300) cheaper.
