Assembly of BYD F3 sedans was started at TagAZ car factory back in 2011, but the cars weren't selling too well. On the one hand, this happened mainly due to the car factory financial troubles, but on the other hand, recently the Russia's car market welcomed many more newer Chinese vehicles. In the end, after producing about 4700 cars, the factory decided to part company with this model. Lately BYD F3 cars were marketed at 390,000 rubles or higher (~$12,000) and fitted with the 1.5 Li 95 hp gas engines and M/T.
