Recently an official presentation of Acura car brand was held in Moscow. It was already long known that the luxury car brand was about to hit the Russia's car market and this presentation unveiled that the vehicles will go on sale both in Russia and Ukraine in March or April 2014.
At first there will be only two car dealers in Moscow and one in Saint Petersburg engaged in sales of Acura cars. The model line-up of the brand will neither be wide for only two cars — MDX and RDX crossovers will be included in it.
Acura MDX is a large seven-seat crossover that went on sale in the US in 2013. It's fitted with the V6 3.5 290 hp engine, six-speed AT, and SH-AWD system. Cars intended for sale in Russia will be equipped with a readjusted suspension system, 15 mm higher road clearance (200 mm), and improved breaks. Even more, the list of added features will have several other wintertime treats: windscreen heating, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats.
A more compact SUV, Acura RDX, went into production in 2012. This AWD vehicle is powered by the V6 3.5 276 hp engine and six-speed AT too. However, the RDX model did not receive any climate-peculiar added features.
The prices have not been revealed yet, but it was told that late in 2014 the car brand model line-up is to be added with a sedan, while in 2015 hybrid Acura NSX supercar will hit the Russia's car market.
